John 9: When Your Eyes Open...From Blindness to Belief

Recorded from their Deck 14 balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, this episode of Bedroom & Bible became unexpectedly personal for April and John. Just days earlier, they were reading John 9 with a lifeboat literally blocking the view from their original cabin when an unexpected phone call changed their room—and their perspective.

But John 9 is about so much more than a blind man receiving his physical sight. His eyes were opened before he fully understood WHO had healed him. He first knew “the man called Jesus,” then recognized Him as a prophet, and eventually encountered Him as Lord: “Lord, I believe.”

Maybe that’s part of the journey for all of us. Sometimes we can’t see what God is doing because something is blocking our view. Sometimes healing happens before understanding. And sometimes Jesus changes our perspective before He changes our circumstances.

Faith doesn’t require an unobstructed view. It requires trusting the One who sees what we cannot.
